the problem

the talent is here. the rooms aren't.

odisha has 4+ major universities producing sharp engineers and finance grads. but the rooms where people talk about startup ops, venture mechanics, and operator frameworks? those are 1,500 km away in bangalore.

an MBA costs ₹15–20 lakhs and 2 years. online courses give you videos, not skills. there was no fourth option — until now.

every ambitious person from odisha faces the same choice — relocate or stagnate. basecamp exists to kill that trade-off.

why basecamp

the old way is broken.

we're not building an MBA. we're building the room that should've existed here.

before
  • ₹15-20L MBA + 2 years
  • professors who never built
  • case studies from 2015
  • certificate on your wall
  • theory exams, zero application
basecamp
  • ₹75K + 12 saturdays
  • operators from series B–D startups
  • live startups from week 1
  • 8+ deliverables in your portfolio
  • demo day with real VCs

curriculum

3 months. applied the same week.

every saturday you apply that week's concept to a real company — not a textbook case, a company operating right now.

month 1 — tech × ops

product vs engineering vs ops. where things break. unit economics, dashboards, GTM.
wk 1: map swiggy/zepto's full tech stack. product vs eng vs ops — roles, handoffs, failure points.
wk 2: build unit economics for a D2C brand. CAC, LTV, payback period, contribution margin.
wk 3: SQL basics + metrics dashboard in notion. north star frameworks, vanity vs actionable.
wk 4: design a GTM motion for a real startup. PLG vs SLG, RevOps, pipeline.
you build: tech stack map, unit econ model, metrics dashboard, GTM document.

month 2 — finance × VC

startup financials, VC deal flow, term sheets, due diligence, modelling from scratch.
wk 5: analyse zomato's DRHP. P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, burn rate, runway.
wk 6: red-line a term sheet as a founder. LP/GP/carry, fund lifecycle, the 8 terms that matter.
wk 7: write a 1-page invest/pass memo. market, team, traction, moat, red flags.
wk 8: 18-month financial model from blank sheet. revenue, costs, headcount, 3 scenarios.
you build: financial memo, annotated term sheet, investment note, 18-month model.

month 3 — capstone

work on a live startup. three deliverables. one demo day.
wk 9: teams of 2–3 assigned a live startup. full brief. coaching session.

wk 11: present to full cohort. peer + founding team feedback. polish week.
wk 12: demo day. 20-min pitch + 15-min Q&A. external panel — invest / hire / pass.
